The paper towel holder was very easy to put together and looks way nicer than the cheap metal one I previously had in the bathroom. Happier than I thought I would be with this purchase.————-Update 11/24/2021———No damage at the moment. The bottom part for anti slip it does collect a lot of dust and dirt sadly but you have the choice to remove it therefore if things get pretty bad I will just remove it. No rust on the metal. I recently changed brands of paper towel and these are thicker, they fit super tight in the holder now. Just be warned that if you have thicker paper towels version they will be really tight until you remove a layer but if you use paper towels a lot then that will get fixed in a day or too. It’s working for me still.————— Original————I bought this one because I'm trying to change my theme to farmhouse. Love the warmth of the wood and the homeish feels it gives so I was looking to change my metal towel paper dispenser , the one in the back, for a standing wood one. This is the best I could find. Most of the ones with wood have a silver metal finish or the wood is too fake. Also most of them are way to light to go with my theme. So far the wood on this one was darker than pictured but I followed the reviews that had a picture that showed how it looks. It is definitely in the darker side so please keep that in mind. In fact the pictures I took doesn't show how darker it is. If it is in a not well lighting area, it almost looks like espresso color. But if there is light it looks dark brown. I like it and I knew what I was getting but its good to let others know in case that's not the goal. Easy to assemble too.There was one review who got me worried that said assembling was impossible because of the screws but happy to report that was not my case. Black metal went in smoothly and they offer an anti slip pad with adhesive to attach it. It covers the screw hole when you add it so it looks nicer.Overall I'm happy with my choice. I liked how easy it was to assemble and the wood work on the piece. I'm still not even sure if its real wood but it looks like the real deal.Now what I find it might be a problem for some is the color, like I said it is darker than pictured. I knew what I was getting so I won't be removing a star because of it.Sturdy unit, nice looking. It comes with a round/flat rubber/self-stick sheet to use as a base. I thought that was a poor idea for wet counters, so I installed four, self-stick, rubber feet that are about a quarter inch thick. A thick roll of towels is a tight fit and I have to use two hands to extract a sheet until the roll becomes small enough to rotate freely.Bought 2 of these, very pleased. Gave them to my daughter, now I want 1 too!Exactly as described and very nice looking. Higher quality than those ugly metal ones.Very nice and easy to assemble!So far nothing I dislikeOk, I don’t want to give 1 star because I don’t want to affect the business. But this product was not good. I had to recycle it.The nail that comes with assembly, and it’s installed underneath to connect the platform with the metal holder, would get loose every time I would turn the paper towel roll. I tightening it up twice and by the third time, boom, it wouldn’t tighten anymore. It gave this facade of a “tight” feel but you turn it to stand and loose! Beware if you buy. Maybe I got a faulty one. ?
